Morgan is a tall, lithe figure, and her preference for dark clothing makes her pale, feral beauty that much more striking. The predatory grace and strength she possesses drew Joshua to her from the start. She shows less of her warrior skills these days, and more of the diplomacy and tact she learned from the Ventrue over the centuries...but the blade she carried as an Archon still sees use, especially these nights. Morgan and Joshua make quite a pair when dressed for battle in their black leathers. While she favors her long sword or wickedly sharp talons, Morgan is not above using modern firearms. Of course, Joshua's enchantments can make a normal gun worth using against Kindred, and she also has the benefit of his other magicks. Morgan calls on extra speed and strength, and even elemental blasts of Forces magick which Joshua has prepared for her. Joshua looks up to her, and continues to learn what he can of her warrior's skills, making up for the centuries of experience and age-old power that he lacks with magickal trickery. Joshua watches over Morgan wherever she goes, protecting her from harm like a guardian angel. |
Morgan and Joshua have been together for years now, but their shared destiny reaches back centuries into the past. Their fates have been intertwined for much of Morgan's life and the unlife that came after her Embrace. It's not a subject that they speak of in public, however. They concentrate on the present...and here and now, mere survival is quite a challenge in itself. The Gangrel Palatinate is now history, thanks to the treachery of former allies. The Palatinate was her response to the departure of the Gangrel Clan from the Camarilla, and within its boundaries she had all the power of a Prince. The warring seems ceaseless, and another battle looms on the horizon, but Morgan knows there is much more going on in Kindred circles than just the battles they wage in Necropolis. The Palatinate stood as a last bastion of the Clan until the in-fighting with the Camarilla reached a boiling point recently.
With
that in mind, Morgan continues to teach Joshua about the Kindred -- arming
him with the knowledge of their history, their power, the stories of legend
that seem to be ringing true as the Final Nights loom over them. Now that
the long-dreaded Reckoning seems to have come and gone, Joshua works to
defend Morgan and prepare for Gehenna.
Even so, the Ascension War is not over for them. Morgan and Joshua once took part in the War, though far from Necropolis; this kept the attention of the Technocracy away from their home. Talk of their allies was also kept private, until now. The aid they can draw on is best used to surprise one's enemies -- and they have plenty of those. With the survivors of the Palatinate's downfall leaving Necropolis, Morgan and Joshua are now free to return to the Ascension War...a war they intend to win. |
