Rote: Fulminant Cascade

Joshua's specialty with Forces magick is lightning. He takes after his mentor Demetrius, who was a Storm Lord. Joshua's Awakening experience involved an unexpected conjuration of lightning, and this Rote calls on that special affinity he still bears for it. While fire definitely comes in handy when tangling with the Kindred, Joshua still has a preference for this vulgar but potent variant. With a look reminiscent of the "Quickening" from the movie Highlander or the Jedi masters' energy attacks from the Star Wars movies, streams of electricity fan out from his outstretched hand, as slow or fast as he prefers - engulfing the target in a lethal bath of raw Forces magick.

Of course, this favorite Rote of Joshua's is easily duplicated by anyone with the skill and power to call on the proper Spheres. The Order of Hermes Tradition book lists "Ignis," the House Flambeau signature Rote, and also the potential to use other elemental effects instead of fire. Now, about that "Lightning Gateway" Rote listed after "Ignis" in the book, hmm...that's got potential.
